The voice inside my head
When we change the focus of our fears, it creates a boldness to act on decisions that will alter the path of our lives forever. No longer afraid of failure. No longer worrying about what people think. Not allowing fear to beat us into submission, fighting back.
Fear is not the enemy. It is a powerful emotion that drives people to take action which in turn promises change. We need to learn to harness its power into a driving force for our own good.
CHANGE the FOCUS
We need to change the focus of our fears and it needs to be done with urgency. We cannot wait till tomorrow, tomorrow may never come.
Embrace the FEAR
Be fearful of not living life to our full potential. Be fearful of wasting our natural God given talents. Be fearful of living a mediocre life. Be fearful of shrinking to the standards of others around us because of the fear of standing out. Lets make a conscious decision every single day to change the focus of our fear. Sacrifice the comforts of the familiar. See through the lies and the false sense of security that comfort provides. End the monotony of habitual lifestyles and comforts that lull us to sleep.
Step out of your comfort zone. Live with the realization that each day we draw closer to death, its over in the blink of an eye. Be grateful for each breathe and live life passionately. Take a leap of faith into the darkness, embrace the fear of the unknown.
The ending to my story has not yet been written, neither has yours. The pen is in our hands… let’s start writing.
“We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.” – 1 Chronicles 29:15
This post was written two days before Mary Schroeder passed away. She sent along a message to me through her husband Ed. “Brian, you better live life to your full potential or I will come back and kick your butt!” Mary, thank you for everything, I will never forget you!
Mr. Schroeder, we have some work to do!
